My years as a former high school English teacher and my decade of experience as a high school counselor have supplied me with knowledge and tools to support students in their college application process. My mental health background is useful in overcoming barriers and developing self-awareness to identify strengths.
I keep my finger on the pulse of college admissions by attending workshops for highly selective schools as well as local community colleges. I am skilled at working with students at all academic success levels and will meet them where they are in the process.
The art of motivation is a delicate balance, and I have years of experience coaching athletes and students of all ages, abilities, backgrounds, and identities to reach their full potential.
Other random facts about me:
I am a proud mother, faithful friend, NY Marathon and half-Ironman finisher, lover of music and dancing, writer and healer, adventure-seeker, yogi, conversationalist, lifelong reader, and a member of the local woman’s club and historical society.

The Full Package
This flat rate package takes the pressure off and gives your child support from "Where do I start?" to the final edits. This process may take anywhere from one to three months, depending on your time frame and our start date.
These packages include:
Student Meetings
I work by phone, Google Meet, or in-person (if local in Southern New Jersey.) Your child will need privacy and a quiet space to foster a comfortable atmosphere so that the creativity can flow. We will work together to cultivate a college application that is an authentic reflection of your child's best qualities. The first step toward that end is self-reflection which is where we will start. Each session can be one to two hours in length.
Start/End Dates
It is best to start the process in July and wrap up in September for early deadlines. If your child is applying regular decision, August until November may work better. If time is of the essence, we can start when your child is ready and still wrap up in time to submit those applications prior to the deadline. Your child's college list should be finalized (or close to it) before we meet.

The personal statement can elevate an application and help you stand out among the crowd. It can also be "just another essay" if it's not genuine and unique. I will guide you from start to finish through as many drafts as it takes to get to the finish line. Includes final edits. $600
Supplemental Essays (under 500 words)
These essays are shorter in length but not lesser in importance. When I speak with admissions counselors, these essays can make or break an application. There may be 3-5 of these essays required for each school. $300/college
Activities List
The activities list is an often overlooked opportunity to reveal your values and how you can be an asset to a college community. There are tips and tricks that can elevate this important aspect of your application. $200
Scholarship Essays
There is money out there for writers who can capture their reader's attention! I can assist with these important essays, too. $80/hour
Final Edit
Do you have a cultivated draft already? Every essay deserves to be proofread by someone who is a grammar nerd and has an appreciation for creativity and voice. $80/hour
